Eva’s critique was a vital part of getting my manuscript ready and submitted to agents for consideration, and I feel lucky to have such a trusted person on my team. Her services are professional, valuable and I recommend them if you’re feeling stuck, unsure of your novel’s readiness, and before submitting.
I met Eva in the Winter of 2014 through a writers group that she had started in Minneapolis. She was an intelligent and kind person, and I was impressed her analytical mind. She has a comprehensive understanding of craft as was able to offer the right balance of encouragement and constructive criticism to the members of our group. At that time, her suggestions led me to make some drastic changes in my early manuscript.
In the Winter of 2016, we reconnected via email. By this point, she had a prolific critiquing business, and I asked if she had time to look at my revised manuscript for developmental editing.
She read the manuscript and offered many in-document comments, as well as a three-page analysis of what wasn’t working in the plot and character development and why. She also asked a lot of questions that helped me look at plot problems from a new perspective and find solutions.
